WWE star Bobby Lashley has revealed he has plans to fight outside of the squared-circle.

The Almighty, aged 43, returned to the company in 2018 and has recently been embroiled in a bitter feud with Rusev.

During his time away from WWE he fought several MMA bouts for numerous promotions, most notably Bellator, and has a record of 15-2.

However, rather than climb back into the cage, the former Intercontinental and US Champion has revealed he wants to change combats again.

On a recent episode of WWE’s “The Bump”, he admitted he recently held talks with bare knuckle fighting promotion BKFC.

And, if Vince McMahon gives him the green light, he hopes to potentially have a fight for the them in 2021.

I just met with the bare knuckle guys and talked to them about possibly doing a bare knuckles fight.

Lashley said: “Man, I'm very basic. I'm a fighter, I love to fight, I love to compete. I wrestled my entire life, amateur wrestled my entire life.

“I've been fighting, I mean, I just met with the bare knuckle guys and talked to them about possibly doing a bare knuckles fight, maybe next year if Vince allows me to do it.

“I like to fight, I like to train, I like to fight and I like to wrestle.”

Discussing his current standing in WWE, Lashley made short work of Zack Ryder in his last televised bout on the March 9 episode of Raw.

And he says that match helped him get back to his roots as he now aims to earn a place as No1 contender to face the winner of Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title after WrestleMania 36.

Lashley added: “Since I've been back, we haven't seen that. I feel like I'm getting back to my roots after this match I had with Ryder.

“It kind of showed who I am, and what I'm about and I think the next few weeks leading up to WrestleMania, I think you're going to see more of that.

“Ultimately, either Drew is going to win or Brock is going to win. After one of those guys win, you gotta have some contenders and have some challengers and I just want to throw my name in the hat in the ring.”
