YOUTUBE boxing star KSI revealed his motivation for returning to the ring was in order to "expose" Jake Paul in an eventual grudge fight.

The British performer – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – faces American Alex Wassabi on August 27 at the O2.

It is his first fight in three years, since beating Paul's brother Logan by split-decision in their rematch.

Since then, Jake has amassed a 5-0 record and emerged as the most successful fighter from the celebrity space.

But KSI is ready to change that and admitted a fight with his great rival helped motivate him back to boxing.

He said: "Why the f*** do you think I am here? Why do you think I have come back?

Jake Paul will be RANKED by WBC if he beats Hasim Rahman Jr, chief confirms

"Everyone thinks Jake Paul is sick. He’s not. He’s not good, and I’m going to expose him.

"But give it time. It’s all strategic. Everything is strategic. There’s a reason why I didn't straight go after beating Logan to fighting Jake Paul.

"I wanted to work on music, build a foundation and now, look at me. I’ve got number ones, top tens, number one albums.

"Music, foundation (is) good. Everything is sorted. Now, it’s time for me to do the boxing.

"Now, it’s time for me to be an Eddie Hearn. Make my own boxing events. Jake Paul is an idiot.

"He has to fight to make money. I don’t even have to fight to make money."

KSI has three times fought before, starting with a win over Joe Weller,26, in 2018, the same year he drew against Logan, 27.

The Londoner won the rematch with Logan but has not returned since, instead focussing on his music career.

Jake, 25, meanwhile returns on August 6 against Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, son to the legendary Sr.

It is his first bout against a recognised boxer, having only faced a YouTuber, basketball player and two ex-MMA champions.

And Jake recently hit out at KSI when asked about a potential fight between the pair.

“I wouldn’t even have to train to fight KSI. I could make $20/30million, show up eating pizza and knock him out. Two rounds max.”
