JURGEN KLOPP had yet another awkward interview experience as the Liverpool boss roared 'I don't understand you' at Sky Sports' Geoff Shreeves.

Klopp raged in in a sit-down chat ahead of his side's crucial clash against Manchester City on Sunday.

In what seemed to be a fairly innocent line of questioning, Shreeves asked the German manager whether the champions could still retain their Prem crown despite being seven points off the top.

But an incensed Klopp hit back on Sky Sports and said: "I don't understand you, honestly.

"The only thing you want to talk about all the time now is us becoming champions.

"Can you imagine… have you ever been the best sports commentator in the world? Do you think it's still possible? Just try it.

"We try. But if I say it's possible, or it's not possible, then we have another headline.

"Why would we do that? Let's talk about a situation. If we are not interested then I don't understand why we talk.

"I'm not angry at all, I just don't understand why the whole interview goes about us becoming champions again."

Klopp's men welcome Pep Guardiola's City to Anfield knowing a defeat will leave them ten points behind the Prem leaders.

It is not the first time Klopp has locked horns with Shreeves as the pair have had a couple of feisty run-ins.

A spiky Klopp fumed at Shreeves' questioning after his newly-crowned champions were thumped 4-0 by City in July 2020.

Klopp snapped: "If you want to lead this story in the direction that we were not focused on that game, then do it."

And the duo also came head to head earlier this season when Klopp lambasted his side's hectic fixture schedule.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach had a tasty exchange with BT Sport's Des Kelly as he took aim at the Premier League broadcasters.

Klopp let rip over lunchtime kick-offs in a lengthy blazing row which caused quite a stir online.
