Lady Lavinia was a solid third in a handicap here last time and has Franny Norton in the saddle today, which boosts her chances. Her best form has come over this distance.

Chains Of Love is taking a fair drop in class after a modest effort at Windsor last time and could bounce back.

NIGHTINGALE VALLEY dug deep to score at Nottingham last time over an extended mile and shapes as though this longer distance will be fine. A 5lb rise in the weights looks fair and she was coming back from seven months so could be fitter too.

Biotic will fins this easier than the big-field handicap he was fifth in at Newbury last time. He stays well and has come right down the weights.

AJRAR came back from six months off in a hot contest at Ascot last time and wasn’t disgraced in fifth place. He was tried in Listed and Group races last season and should be happier in these calmer waters.

Isango didn’t like the soft ground when returning to turf at Nottingham latest after a good all-weather win at Wolverhampton. She’s on a fair mark and likes this distance.

PLATINUM STAR looks the pick of the Godolphin pair and he made an encouraging start when third at Wolverhampton last time out. He was green and ran on strongly in the closing stages. He should learn from that.

Stablemate Big City is worth a look in the betting ahead of this debut but is bred for a good deal further.

CONUNDRUM goes in trip after some good runs over a mile that included a win at Pontefract before a third at Redcar last time. He hasn’t been clobbered by the handicapper and could improve at this distance.

Baasem showed little in maidens so starts handicapping from a decent mark and he’s bred to be well above average at this sort of trip.
