ONE lucky punter won over £300,000 from an audacious bet on the penultimate day of Royal Ascot.

The unnamed bettor predicted the correct winner from all seven races – a feat rarely achieved.

And after placing an each way bet of £2.50 – which means their total stake was £5 – the punter has won £307, 464.

The odds on the William Hill bet were 122,889/1, highlighting just how remarkable the win is.

William Hill spokesperson Tony Kenny, said: “Many of our customers try going through the card at the bigger meetings like Royal Ascot or Cheltenham but few manage it.

“However, one pulled off the incredible feat of successful choosing all seven winners on the penultimate day of the Royal meeting at a frankly ridiculous price of 122,889/1.

The day started brightly in the 2.30 Albany Stakes thanks to Meditate crossing the line first – a win which also bagged I'm A Celeb star Georgia Toffolo £6,500.

Victories for Perfect Power and Candleford followed before Frankie Dettori stole glory on Inspiral in the Coronation Stakes.
