GO West in the May Hill Stakes.

Mark Johnston's West End Girl left a lasting impression when winning the Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmaket last time and will relish the step up in trip today.

ALPEN ROSE 3/5

Rose could bloom. Very green when second on her debut but took a big step forward when winning a maiden over this course and distance last time out. Potentially a smart filly and has to be respected for the in-form team of Charlie Appleby and William Buick.

ANANYA 3/5

Give Nan a break. Reared at the start of the Sweet Solera and never had a chance following that. Did well to come home fifth but must get a good start and it remains to be seen whether she is up to this level.

ANNA OF SUSSEX 1/5

Leave Sussex well behind. Won her only start at Brighton but that was a weak race and she looks to be way out of her depth here. Discount.

BOOMER 4/5

Boomer could blast home. Landed a Group 3 contest at Goodwood when last seen and that was done in good style being gently nudged home under hands and heels. The form has since been franked and she's right in the mix.

WEST END GIRL (Bet now)

CLOAK OF SPIRITS 4/5

Don't forget your Cloak. Made a very impressive debut at Ascot when last seen and was quickly cut in price for all the big races next year. This is tougher and will need to improve but there's every chance she's up to this level.

PASSION 4/5

Keep Passion on your side. Aidan O'Brien's filly took a step forward when winning at Cork last time. Is a sister to St Leger winner Capri so has to be taken very seriously with improvement likely.

POWERFUL BREEZE 3/5

Breeze won't cause a storm. Created a good impression when winning by three lengths at Newmarket but that form doesn't look overly strong. Plenty of talented fillies here and will need to take a big step forward.

RUN WILD 3/5

Don't go Wild on her. Took three starts to get off the mark and while she did bolt up at Kempton, this is a different kettle of fish. Top team of John Gosden and Oisin Murphy but might find a couple too good here.

WEST END GIRL 5/5

Girl can steal the show. Made up for her Sandown defeat with a taking win in the Sweet Solera Stakes. That's the best form on offer in this race and she was staying on strongly at the finish suggesting she will appreciate the extra furlong today. A tough as old boots contender for Mark Johnston who will be hard to pass.
