WALK IN THE MILL can grind out another Becher Chase win.

Last year’s hero followed up with a fab fourth in the Grand National so loves these fences. He’ll be fit from his comeback at Wincanton.

Vieux Lion Rouge has jumped around here seven times including when winning this. He won’t be far away.

Mulcahys Hill and Abolotionist are having their first sight of these fences but both look just the type for this race.

One For Arthur won the Grand National in 2017 and has few outings since. There were positive signs at Kelso last time.

ALPHA DES OBEAUX 2/5

Alpha fail. Fell on only attempt at these fences in 2018 National but has held his own in Graded races and was a fair third at Down Royal last time. Best has come over shorter.

BALLYOPTIC 2/5

Optic looks held. Fell in this last year and took tumble in National too so clearly not a lover of the fences. Won the Charlie Hall so has class but jumping a worry.

DEFINITLY RED 2/5

Red flag. Was backed when pulled up in 2017 National but has landed four Grade 2s since then so has quality. Stays well but ran poorly in the Charlie Hall last time.

LE BREUIL 2/5

Breuil over. Won NH Chase at the Festival over 4m so stays all day and has Grand National as his season target. Was rusty over hurdles on comeback and wants further.

ONE FOR ARTHUR 3/5

One to consider. Not won since 2017 National but has only run four times. Good signs at Kelso on comeback and clearly loves the fences. Another mile would be ideal but on the shortlist.

VINTAGE CLOUDS 3/5

Clouds must fly. Fell at first in the National before a solid sixth in Scottish version when making errors. Rusty on comeback and connections think he’s ideal for this track. Needs to improve jumping.

VIEUX LION ROUGE 4/5

Lion could roar. Second in this last year and won it in 2016. Has jumped around here all seven times and this is his best trip. Plenty of miles on the clock but strong place claims.

MULCAHYS HILL 4/5

Hill on up. Good win at Cheltenham on comeback and trip looks ideal. Has more to come over fences and interesting race for handicap debut.

AS DE MEE 2/5

Look at Mee. Grand Sefton winner over these fences and fifth in this two years ago when not getting home. Should get round but stamina a concern.

ABOLITIONIST 4/5

Ab could be fab. Looks a Grand National type and has good staying form in Ireland. Having first look at these fences but stays and should run well.

WALK IN THE MILL 5/5 (Bet now)

Mill’s a grinder. Won this last year and just 4lb higher. Game fourth in Grand National so loves the fences and can make another bold bid.

MINELLACELEBRATION 3/5

Min the mix. Likes the Mildmay course here and may have needed comeback run. Needs to improve for this but has plenty of stamina and is a big price.

WANDRIN STAR 2/5

Star on wane. Good form over this trip and won well at Wincanton last time. This is tougher though and is going up weights.

LIKE THE SOUND 1/5

Sound’s bad. Fit from hurdling and capable chaser but best form has been in lesser races. Needs more at this level.

BALLYDINE 2/5

Dine out. Made too many mistakes in Midlands National last time out in March but usually jumps well and stays. Few questions to answer.

MYSTEREE 2/5

Hit or Mys. Back from break to win at Kelso latest and likes this trip. Jumps well and will like the testing ground. Off career-high mark today.

KIMBERLITE CANDY 3/5

Candy’s sweet. Struggled in Irish National latest but progressed well last season and jumps well. Needs it soft but capable of better.

REGAL FLOW 1/5

No Flow. Runs from well out the weights and beaten in lesser races already this season.
