GARETH BALE is staying defiant in the wake of pressure to quit Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Welshman still has three years remaining on his £650,000-a-week deal – worth £101million.

And Cadena SER claim Bale and his agent have told Bernabeu chiefs he is getting ready for their pre-season tour.

Real splashed out on Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Rodrygo to give them more options going forward.

And they are keen to get Bale's wages off their books after banishing him to the touchline at the end of last season.

But the report claims the former Tottenham star will only leave if the club find a suitable alternative.

In March, SunSport revealed Bale looks ­certain to snub English clubs — because they cannot afford him.

Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea are all keen on the Real Madrid superstar.

But despite Real lowering their demands, the Wales talisman's wages price him out of many clubs.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain could yet offer Bale a brighter future.

But after winning four Champions League titles, the gifted forward feels he deserves better treatment from the club and fans.
