MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly remain keen on signing Jack Grealish.

The Athletic claims Aston Villa’s star man and captain has ‘admirers’ at Old Trafford after some fine performances this season.

Grealish, 25, has six goals in ten games and has also earned five England caps after making his international debut against Denmark in September.

United kept tabs on Grealish over the summer while they tried and failed to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Grealish eventually penned a new five-year contract to stay at Villa Park.

But it’s reckoned United have not been put off in their pursuit of the playmaker.

Indeed, additional reports claim rivals Manchester City are also looking at Grealish after a mixed start to the campaign.

However, United and City will have to dig deep if they want to prise Grealish away from the four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.

Aston Villa reportedly value Grealish at a staggering £100million.

And any suitors who want to step forward face setting a new British transfer record, currently held by Paul Pogba’s £89m Old Trafford switch in 2016.

The Athletic add it is unlikely Pogba will leave United next month due to ‘the numbers involved’ following his agent Mino Raiola’s exit comments.

But United do have French centre-back Dayot Upamecano in their sights.

However, with RB Leipzig beating United to a Champions League last-16 place earlier this week, that deal will also have to wait until the summer.
