CRISTIANO RONALDO and Georgina Rodriguez have jetted to Madrid for a romantic meal and night at a luxury hotel as questions swirl about his Manchester United future.

The loved-up couple reportedly flew to the Spanish capital, where CR7 owns a £4.8 million villa, after he was ruled out of the FA Cup match against Aston Villa because of a hip injury.

The pair, due to add to their family again soon with a twin boy and girl, are thought to have used Ronaldo’s £20m jet to leave the UK.

And they are said to have dined on Monday night at Amos Restaurant whose executive chef Jesus Sanchez is a holder of three Michelin stars.

The upmarket eaterie is one of two restaurants at Rosewood Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid’s famous Paseo de la Castellana which cuts across the city from south to north.

The hotel is a favourite of Ronaldo’s from his time at Real Madrid before he moved to Juventus and then United on a two-year deal at the start of this season.

Witnesses told Spanish celeb website Vanitatis that the dad-of-four and his partner, who stars in an upcoming Netflix docu-series, had dined alone.

One said: “They only had eyes for each other. They both wore black and the clothes Georgina had on showed off her baby bump.

“They didn’t go to the restaurant directly but sat on the hotel terrace first and ordered drinks before going into the restaurant.”

The star couple, who met and fell in love in Madrid in 2016 while Ronaldo was still with his old side, are said to have enjoyed a £72-a-head testing menu focused on fresh vegetables and fish.

The reason for their visit, and why they chose to stay at a hotel instead of their home on a gated estate called La Finca near Madrid, has not been made clear.

It is thought a photo Ronaldo posted on Tuesday morning of him looking relaxed by a lake, was taken in the Spanish capital.

Georgina, 27, is currently counting down the days to the January 27 launch of her Netflix docu-series called ‘Soy Georgina’ which looks at how her life has changed since she met Cristiano.

Her trip to Madrid coincided with the unveiling of a giant billboard poster of her in Madrid’s central Colon Square.

The promotional billboard for the Netflix show, in a reference to the Spanish capital’s famous Serrano Street where the brunette worked as a shop assistant, said: “Before I sold handbags in Serrano. Now I collect them.”

Georgina will reveal in the upcoming series she was living in a £250 converted storage room before the ‘life-changing’ day she met Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Argentinian-born model and influencer, who moved to Madrid from Jaca in northern Spain as a teenager, will admit she couldn't afford to pay for heating or air conditioning and her slum accommodation left her freezing in winter and baking in the summer.

Cristiano is said to be increasingly unhappy with the situation at his current club and held crisis talks recently with his agent Jorge Mendes about his future.

He signed a two-year deal with United but speculation is mounting Paris Saint-Germain may move to sign him before his contract is up.
