EVERTON and Watford lock horns at Goodison Park as the Premier League season gets into full swing.

This is a match which carries extra verve due to the past of Marco Silva, who was controversially sacked by the Hornets in 2018 amid interest from the Toffees before eventually joining the following summer.

The two sides meet on Merseyside after underwhelming beginnings to the campaign for both last weekend; ten-man Everton were held to a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace, while Watford were thumped on home turf by Brighton.

What time does Everton vs Watford kick off?

This Premier League clash will take place on Saturday, August 17.

It will kick off at 3pm.

The match will be held at Goodison Park in Liverpool.

What TV channel is it on and can I live stream it?

Unfortunately, Everton vs Watford will not be shown live on TV in the UK.

Highlights can be caught later on Saturday evening on BBC One's Match of the Day.

Alternatively, all Premier League highlights will be posted to the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel.

What is the team news?

Everton have something of an injury crisis in midfield, with Morgan Schneiderlin suspended and Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph both major doubts to feature.

As such, new signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin could make his full debut much sooner than expected alongside Tom Davies in the centre of the park.

Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean will both be pushing to feature from the start.

Meanwhile, Watford winger Roberto Pereyra was only fit enough for a place on the bench against Brighton but could start here.

Recent additions Danny Welbeck and Ismaila Sarr will be assessed, but the latter particularly is unlikely to feature.

Javi Gracia is boosted by the return of midfielders Domingos Quina and Nathaniel Chalobah, though neither is expected to start.

Left-back Adam Masina has also recovered from injury.
