MANCHESTER CITY have splashed out £100million to sign Jack Grealish – and things could be about to get even better.

The Premier League champs are in for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, with the England man determined to make the move to the Etihad.

But the two clubs are still some way apart on the fee, with Spurs supremo Daniel Levy sure to play ball for his £160m-rated star man.

And the world of football was rocked last night when it was announced Lionel Messi would LEAVE Barcelona.

His contract has expired, and the club admitted they could not afford to keep the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.

City, who have previously been linked with the Argentine, and Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to land the signing of the summer.

If City somehow manage to add Messi and Kane to the acquisition of Grealish, it will leave rival Premier League teams quaking in their boots.

And more than likely City fans would be treated to a team of the highest attacking prowess.

Ederson will start the season in goal – having become arguably the best keeper in the league.

City boss Pep Guardiola could go with a back three to fit all his attacking talent in.

Ruben Dias, after a spectacular first season in England, John Stones and Kyle Walker could form this.

Such is the attacking nature of this line-up that Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan could be the sitting midfielders.

But the pair would be sure to ping the most delicious balls for the array af attacking talent ahead of them.

New-boy Jack Grealish could partner his England mate Phil Foden ahead of that pair, with Raheem Sterling on one flank and Barcelona legend Lionel Messi on the other.

Then up top would be lethal frontman Harry Kane – with just the £160m fee reportedly sought by Spurs stopping that happening.

Of course, with the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Fernandinho, Rodri, Joao Cancelo and Oleksandr Zinchenko in the ranks, Guardiola will likely add some more defensive steel in the starting XI.

But this attacking line-up will leave City fans frothing at the mouth.

And there is still the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva and Ferran Torres to keep the attackers on their toes.
