Daniel Jones’ first passes in a Giants uniform are in the book.

It was in a practice jersey in a rookie minicamp throwing to a group that included undrafted free agents, but it was a start nonetheless for the No. 6-overall pick just a week after he was drafted.

Eli Manning’s heir apparent, Jones wore No. 8 as he was officially introduced at the Giants facility Friday along with fellow first-round picks Dexter Lawrence and Deandre Baker. Their first full day of minicamp included meetings, installing the playbook, a walkthrough and then the first practice.

Jones and the rest of the Giants rookies will practice again on Saturday, their last action before OTAs begin later this month.
