F1 is at Silverstone for a second week running and Lewis Hamilton will be hoping for a similar result.

The Brit showed incredible calmness in last week's British Grand Prix to win even after his tire punctured on the final lap.

Hamilton, 35, will start from second today, with Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas taking pole in qualifying.

Start time: 2.10pm BST

  • 'EASY'

Red Bull boss Christian Horner:"It was an amazing performance – the pace was far beyond what we expected.

"Even after Mercedes pitted and went onto a new hard tyre we pulled away. Max was taking it so easy.

"We just had them covered today. The car worked fantastically well and the pace was just there.

"We beat Mercedes fair and square today and will take a lot of confidence from this."

  • CLASSIFICATION

    Here's the results in full…

  • 'FAR FROM IDEAL'

Third placed Valtteri Bottas: "Very frustrating to start from pole and finish in third is not ideal.

"As a team we were sleeping at points when Max went ahead of us and my strategy was far from ideal.

"So lots to learn from today I think.

"As soon as I started to push towards the end the tyres fell apart. We had a lot of blisters today and Red Bull seemed to have none."

  • SOME YOU LEWSE

Second placed Lewis Hamilton: “It was unexpected to have hardcore blistering like that but I'm grateful to have progressed and managed my way through the race.

“I'm sure the team will look into it because we've not had something like this before.

“I don't know if anyone else struggled with blisters like us so we'll have to look into it.

“At the end I was driving with half a tyre basically – one half is bald. But we held it together.”

  • TO THE MAX

Race winner Max Verstappen: "I didn't see this win coming but after the first stint it seemed we were really good on tyres.

"We had a lot of pace in the car and didn't have a lot of tyre issues at all.

"It's an incredible result to win here – we just had a great day, the right strategy and everything went smooth."

  • LOOK AT THE TABLE

Hamilton stays 30 points ahead at the top of the standings but it's now Verstappen in second place.

Bottas drops to third, a further six points behind.

  • HAMILTON HAS ANOTHER JOINT-RECORD

Hamilton equals Schumacher's record of 155 podium finishes with that result, and picks up the extra point for fastest lap.

  • FULLY SANITIZED

Verstappen is congratulated by Red Bull boss Christian Horner. First non-Merc win of the season.

  • MAX VERSTAPPEN WINS THE 70th ANNIVERSARY GRAND PRIX

What a wonderful drive from the Red Bull man.

    Hamilton is second.

    Bottas and uninspiring third.

Leclerc again defies the odds to finish fourth in his Ferrari.

  • LAP 50

Hamilton gets past Bottas all too easy.

He is up to second place.

Verstappen is 8.3 seconds ahead. He's also just lapped Ricciardo's Renault, who is down in 14th.

  • BOTTAS Vrs HAMILTON

They have been told they are “free to race”. Has Bottas got the stomach for the fight?

  • LAP 46

Hamilton gets the move done on Leclerc, who has only stopped once for tyres. A clean and simple overtake. No drama.

He is up to third and Bottas is ahead in second place. Five seconds ahead.

  • HAMILTON NOW HAS WORK TO DO

After his pit stop he is down in fourth place. He is catching Leclerc. That would see him make the podium.

Hamilton has just set the fastest lap in doing so.

  • LAP 41

Verstappen told to close in on Hamilton in case the world champion tries to go to the end of the hard tyres.

Mercedes have seen enough and call him in to the pits for fresh tyres. And they have put him out on hard tyres.

  • MAX IS COMFY

Verstappen told he has “got the pace if we need to react, but we just need to make sure we've got the tyres when we need it”.

13 laps to go. Can he hold on?

  • LAP 33

Verstappen and Bottas stop for hard tyres to take them through to the end of the race.

It is their second stop, while Hamilton, who is on the hard tyre too, has yet to make a second stop and leads the race.

Can he make that tyre last until the end? It seems unlikely.

Verstappen just 11.3 seconds behind and eating into that advantage.

  • VERSTAPPEN HAS JUST SET THE FASTEST LAP

He is 2.1 seconds clear of Bottas. Hamilton is 6.1 seconds behind him.

  • IT IS ALL KICKING OFF

Vettel has now had a pop at his team.

He too has been on the radio and is unhappy.

“This is the gap that we didn't like, we spoke about it this morning. I'll hang in there, but you know you've messed up.”

But let's not forget he spun of his own accord at the start.

  • HAMILTON IS NOT HAPPY

He has been on the radio – hinting at foul play…

“He must have less pressure in his tyres or something”

  • LAP 27

Verstappen pits and Bottas regains the lead but it is only for a few seconds and the Red Bull man regains the position.

Great stuff from Verstappen, but could Bottas have done more?

  • HAMILTON IS SINKING

He's not happy. He has tyre damage on those new set of hards.

He is one of the slowest drivers on track – a lap of 1.33.5s Only Giovinazzi was slower in his Alfa Romeo.

    Could Verstappen pull this off?

  • LAP 21

Verstappen has still not stopped. He is on the harder tyre.

Hamilton has been warned by his race engineer. “Verstappen is the real threat here if he is one-stopping”.

We have seen this before with Red Bull. They have less speed than the Mercedes and what they try to do is to go as long as they can in the first stint and then hold position.

For the second stint, it is a scrap as they try to fend off the chasing cars.

For the time being, it is working. Verstappen says his tyres are all good.

  • LAP 19

Majority of the front runners have now stopped for tyres and the running order is this.

Verstappen (yet to stop), Bottas, Hamilton, Sainz (yet to stop), Hulkenberg, Stroll.
