ENGLAND have set New Zealand 167 to progress to the T20 World Cup final.

Pakistan or Australia await in Sunday's showpiece event in Dubai.

    MAN OF THE MATCH

New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell: "It was a bit of a whirlwind there I can't really remember the last half of it. But it's nice to get the job done and move onto the final dance.

"T20 is a game of momentum and we tried to hold in there as long as we could. We knew we needed one or two big overs and got a few out of the middle to get the job done."

    KIWIS MARCH ON

Huge respect between Morgan and Williamson at the end of play.

New Zealand are an excellent side and very well led by their captain and will be in Sunday's final in Dubai.

Injuries probably finally caught up with England, as did losing the toss today.

No Stokes and Archer of course heading into the tournament. Then they lost Sam Curran to injury just before the competition. And in the tournament itself they've seen Tymal Mills and Jason Roy go down.

    NZ WIN BY 5 WICKETS

England are out of the T20 World Cup.

They have been on top all evening in Abu Dhabi and looked to have the game in the bag.

New Zealand needed 57 runs from the final four overs, and England's death bowling has cost them dear here.

They're without Stokes and Archer of course, and Mills was injured earlier in the tournament.

An outstanding finish from New Zealand, but a bitter pill for Eoin Morgan's men to swallow.

    19TH OVER: NZ 167-5 (MITCHELL 73, SANTNER 1)

Daryl Mitchell has absolutely floored Chris Woakes and England here. What a knock.

Two sixes from the first three balls leave New Zealand just needing six runs from nine deliveries.

And he's hit the final delivery of the 19th over for four to WIN THE GAME!

    18TH OVER: NZ 147-5 (MITCHELL 53, SANTNER 0)

Rashid to bowl his final over – and it's an expensive one!

Neesham hits him for six first ball, and Mitchell gets one down the ground, too, to get to his 50.

Rashid responds with the big WICKET of Neesham, caught at mid off by Morgan, but what a cameo to get New Zealand back into the game.

He hit 27 from 11 and New Zealdn need 20 from 2 overs.

    17TH OVER: NZ 133-4 (MITCHELL 46, NEESHAM 20)

What an over for Neesham and New Zealand!

He swings Jordan away for six into the leg side and then gets four down the ground.

But real drama with the fourth delivery as he heaves it over long-on and Bairstow looks to have made an amazing stop and flicked it back for Billings for a catch.

Replays showed he touched the boundary rope and it's six.

England's most expensive over of the tournament – 23 runs off it.

    34 needed now from 3.

    16TH OVER: NZ 110-4 (MITCHELL 46, NEESHAM 1)

Livingstone's final over is an absolute peach.

A wicket off the first ball then 3 dot balls to start it.

Two singles and a wide off the over and England really turning the screw.

He finishes with final figures of four overs 2-22.

    WICKET! PHILLIPS C BILLINGS B LIVINGSTONE 2

    Another wicket for Livingstone!

Phillips tries to take him on back over his head, but all he can do is slice it straight to Billings at long odd.

    New Zealand 107-4.

    15TH OVER: NZ 107-3 (MITCHELL 45, PHILLIPS 2)

Pace back into the attack with Wood as the required run rate touches 12 for the first time.

Mitchell gets a bit of luck as he hooks and gets a top edge over Buttler that runs away for four.

Ten off the over in total so not a bad one for New Zealand.

    60 needed from 5.

  • supal

    14TH OVER: NZ 97-3 (MITCHELL 37, PHILLIPS 0)

An over and a wicket that has tightened England's grip on this game.

Phillips comes in with New Zealand now needing 72 from 6.

They're going to have to go some.

WICKET! CONWAY ST BUTTLER B LIVINGSTONE 46

    That's a massive wicket!

Conway comes charging down the ground to Livingstone and he's run straight past it. Simple stumping for Buttler.

The dangerman is gone – New Zealand 95-3.

    13TH OVER: NZ 92-2 (MITCHELL 35, CONWAY 44)

Rashid bowling his third over and Conway looking to be inventive.

New Zealand struggle to get him away, but Mitchell gets a SIX over long-off despite the best efforts of Jordan on the boundary.

The England bowler jumped and seemed to claw the ball back into play, but it just landed on the boundary rope.

    75 needed from 7.

    12TH OVER: NZ 80-2 (MITCHELL 28, CONWAY 40)

Conway is just finding his groove here. He's the danger man for England now.

Another boundary in that Livingstone over – it's looking harder for the spinners even if there isn't much dew.

    Seven from the over.

    11TH OVER: NZ 73-2 (MITCHELL 28, CONWAY 33)

Wood continues after the drinks break and it's an excellent over for New Zealand – a really leaky one for England.

Mitchell took four from the first ball of the over and then Conway carved him over point for six runs.

15 runs from it. They first really good over for New Zealand, they've been struggling to stay afloat all innings and swimming against the tide.

    DRINKS

109 more needed for New Zealand from 10 overs so England are on top at the moment.

But England scored 99 off 10 overs and these two are slowly rebuilding.

    10TH OVER: NZ 58-2 (MITCHELL 22, CONWAY 26)

Liam Livingstone into the attack for England, and Conway relieves the pressure with a lofted drive down the ground for four.

A better over for New Zealand with eight from it to take us to the halfway stage.

    9TH OVER: NZ 50-2 (MITCHELL 21, CONWAY 19)

Wood continues with his searing pace and New Zealand are struggling to get him away.

Just five from the over with no boundary.

England were 60-2 at this stage, so New Zealand are a bit behind the game.

  • supal

    8TH OVER: NZ 45-2 (MITCHELL 17, CONWAY 18)

Rashid continuing for England, and he's very lucky not to be put away with a rank long hop.

Just four off the over and in the end a decent one. But it's not been typical Rashid to start.

  • supal

    7TH OVER: NZ 41-2 (MITCHELL 16, CONWAY 15)

Wood into the attack for the first time, and it's a tidy start for him.

Five runs off the over for Mitchell and Conway, who are just trying to rebuild and not lose any more wickets.

  • supal

    6TH OVER: NZ 36-2 (MITCHELL 12, CONWAY 14)

Adil Rashid into the attack. Spin in the powerplay.

And Conway takes an instant liking to him with a boundary off the first ball.

Rashid settles into his spell, but Conway helps himself to another four to end the over.

Conway is dangerous. England can't think this is won.

    5TH OVER: NZ 26-2 (MITCHELL 11, CONWAY 5)

Mitchell relieves the pressure a bit with a boundary and it's a better over for New Zealand with eight from it.

Still a brilliant spell from Woakes to open the bowling.

  • supal

    4TH OVER: NZ 18-2 (MITCHELL 4, CONWAY 4)

Jordan keeps the pressure on with another superb over, even despite Conway's lofted off-drive for four from the final delivery.

England well on top here. New Zealand under the pump.

  • supal

    3RD OVER: NZ 13-2 (MITCHELL 4, CONWAY 0)

    What an over from Woakes.

A wicket maiden with the New Zealand captain back in the shed.

  • supal

    WICKET! WILLIAMSON C RASHID B WOAKES 5

    OOOOO MASSIVE!

The New Zealand captain tries the scoop but he can't get it over Rashid at short fine leg.

Woakes has delivered two massive wickets.

    New Zealand are 13-2.

  • supal

    2ND OVER: NZ 13-1 (WILLIAMSON 5, MITCHELL 4)

Chris Jordan opens the bowling from the other end – and he's very unlucky not to get Williamson out playing on.

Just five runs off Jordan's first over. A good start for him and England keep the pressure on.
