Who is Michael Lewis?
First of all, Spencer’s not dating Michael Lewis the author (the financial journalist who wrote Moneyball, The Blind Side, and The Big Short). She’s dating another man by the same name who own Whistles, a clothing company based in England.
According to the Daily Mail, Lewis is worth an estimated £80 million which is more than $102 million USD.
How did Michael Lewis and Kitty Spencer meet?
How Lewis and Spencer met is unknown although we do know that they were first spotted together in August 2018, according to the Mirror.
Neither Spencer nor Lewis have confirmed or denied their relationship. But there is reason to believe they’re dating. More on that next.
Kitty Spencer and Lewis were seen leaving The Mark hotel
In May 2019, Spencer and Lewis were seen leaving The Mark hotel in Manhattan, New York. Royal watchers may remember The Mark as the location of Meghan Markle’s baby shower earlier this year.
Lewis exited The Mark before Spencer and reportedly stood outside waiting for a car to arrive. Check out the Daily Mail’s site for pictures of the couple exiting the hotel.
It was only when their ride showed up that Spencer left the hotel’s lobby and hopped in the car.
“Once Michael spotted their Uber, Kitty came out,” an onlooker told the Daily Mail. “Both kept their heads down and walked quickly to the car.”
As Lewis and Spencer were heading toward the car, Princess Diana’s niece put her hand on her possible boyfriend’s shoulder. It’s not exactly a confirmation of a relationship but it points to the two being more than friends.
Does Michael Lewis have any children?
Yes, Lewis is the father of three children. All of his children are older than his possible girlfriend, Spencer. She’s in her late twenties while his kids are in their thirties.
Michael Lewis and Kitty Spencer both lived in South Africa
One thing that Spencer and Lewis may have bonded over when they first met (or possibly play a role in how they met) is that they both spent many years living in South Africa.
Spencer grew up in South Africa where she lived with her mother and only returned to London in 2016 when she moved back to pursue a modeling career.
“I do feel like I sort of snuck through the back door and no one’s noticed yet. That’s the feeling I get, especially at shows,” she told Harper’s Bazaar about her modeling career. “I keep thinking that this is potentially short term and a really exciting moment, so I’m trying to embrace it for what it is,” she added. “And then when it does end, just being grateful because it was something I never imagined in the first place.”

The late Princess Diana is Spencer’s aunt on her dad’s side of the family. Her parents are Earl Charles Spencer and Victoria Lockwood. Her father is known for giving a stirring eulogy at his sister’s funeral.
