Tracy Morgan had an emotional visit to the hospital bed where he recovered from his near-fatal car accident.

We’re told the “The Last OG” star visited the room at Hackensack Meridian JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Center with the docs who treated him after the 2014 smash that left him in a coma after suffering brain damage, and was so overcome with emotion that he broke down in tears and fell to his knees in front of the bed.

“Tracy became emotional and started crying,” said a rep for the center, “He was very thankful to all the nurses and doctors who helped him recover. Tracy was joined by nurse Jackie and Dr. [Brian] Greenwald, who cared for him while he was a patient.”

Morgan’s luxury minibus was hit by a tractor trailer at around 1 a.m. on in June 7, 2014, while the comic and his entourage were heading home on the New Jersey Turnpike after a gig in Dover, Delaware. Morgan’s longtime collaborator, comedian Jimmy Mack, died in the accident.

The “30 Rock” actor suffered multiple broken bones and head injuries in the accident and spent nearly a month recuperating at the center. He said on the “Today” show in 2015 that the incident left him with some memory loss and headaches. He used a wheelchair for more than six months after the crash.

We’re told the comedian dropped by the rehab center on Wednesday to visit other patients there who have suffered similar experiences.

We’re told Morgan shared “the story of his recovery after being in a coma” with patients and their families.

“[Many of them] called Morgan’s visit inspiring,” said the rep, “Several said seeing Morgan’s amazing recovery and return to the national stage as a comic and actor after his brain injury provided inspiration and hope during their own challenges.”

Since the accident Morgan has released a stand-up special “Tracy Morgan: Staying Alive” and starred in the acclaimed TBS sitcom “The Last OG,” which is going into its fourth season.
