You’re not alone, Boris! After PM’s bumbling CBI speech, This Morning viewers share their VERY embarrassing stories – including sending a snap of sex positions instead of a CV

  • This Morning’s phone in asked people how they’ve bounced back from mistakes
  • Comes after Boris Johnson’s bizarre speech which he praised Peppa Pig World
  • Rebecca explained how she sent a picture of sex positions instead of her CV

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left in hysterics as viewers called in to share some of their most embarrassing stories.

It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson was forced to shrug off questions about whether he is ‘OK’ yesterday following the bewildering address to the CBI, in which he spoke at length about his family trip to the popular theme park – complaining that the TV character looks like a ‘hair dryer’ and Daddy Pig is a bit stereotyped.

During the amusing segment of the ITV show today, Mandy, from Bristol, who used to work at a power station on reception, recalled the time she accidentally told everyone about my fling.

‘I’d been out the night before and met this lad,’ she said. ‘I was telling my mate Vicky all the gory details about what I got up to with this lad, not realising I’d chucked a file across the desk and it hit the Tannoy button. I’d broadcasted everything to the whole thing nuclear power station!’

In a bewildering address to the CBI, the PM hailed his family trip to the popular theme park – despite complaining that the TV character looks like a ‘hair dryer’ and Daddy Pig is a bit stereotyped

She joked her boss came running down the corridor like Usain Bolt.

When Holly asked what it was like after the dust settled down, Mandy replied: ‘All my mates came running into reception laughing and I just took a bow.’

Vanessa Feltz credited Mandy for having the ‘perfect’ reaction – adding ‘you 100% did the right thing.’

A second call in named Rebecca explained how she once sent a picture of sex positions instead of her CV.

‘I have a book with every sex position for every day of the year and my friend had recently retired. I took a screenshot of this particular day and sent it to her saying, “Here, have some fun with your husband now you’re both home – try this!”

This was on my phone. Little did I know I was applying for a job in care and they needed my CV.

I’m not very technically minded when it comes to phones and digital stuff so I sent off my CV with a little description of myself.

I had some horror thought so just went to make sure that it was my CV. I had no idea how this sex position picture got onto my downloaded files and accidentally sent that instead!’

Rebecca went on to confirm she did not get the job.

Elsewhere, Carolyn left Holly and Phil in stitches when she told of the time she called her friend’s dad a ‘dirty old man.’

She explained: ‘My friend and I were hiking in the Lake District and it was a beautiful day and we stopped and sat on a dry stone wall. A guy on a bike went past, wolf- whistled, waving and shouting.

I said to her “don’t you just hate the dirty old men” and she said “yes I do but that was my dad!’

Carolyn went on to say her friend joked ‘it’s a good job I know you!’

Agony aunt Vanessa Feltz credited the people who phoned in for reacting in the

Another viewer was left mortified when her pants got stuck to her hood on her first day of work.

‘My first day at work I was about eight months pregnant. I went to the shop and everyone was looking at me,’ she explained. ‘I went to my work and discovered I had a pair of pants stuck on the Velcro on the hood.’

She added: ‘I felt so sorry for the person in the shop behind me because they’d been worn!’

Meanwhile, a further said she was mortified when she re-gifted a present and it went very wrong.

‘Last Christmas, I was a little bit tight for cash for Christmas presents so I found myself hunting for gifs that I’d before which I hadn’t used or opened.

‘I found something and thought, “Ah that’ll be perfect for my step-mum because I don’t really get on with her and wasn’t too fussed.’

However, she was left red-faced after realising she’d wrapped up what her step-mum had given her for her birthday!

Phil read out a few more humiliating stories including one sent in my Claire, which said: ‘I had carpet laid by a lovely older chap and the next day I was really pleased so I sent him a message saying “thanks for doing a lovely job.” Autocorrect changed it and it said ‘thanks for having a lovely knob.”

He replied saying, “thanks for noticing!’

Holly also read out an entry by Kayleigh, who recalled: ‘I sent an email at work saying ‘please schedule below job’ – but turns out  missed the ‘e’ on the word ‘below!’
