The mother of Britain’s largest family has admitted it was a ‘long slog’ after it took 10 hours for her to welcome her 11th daughter over the weekend.

Sue, 44, and husband Noel, 48, from Lancashire, who welcomed their first of 22 children thirty years ago, shared a video diary to their YouTube account capturing the day of the induction.

Sue was induced just before midday, placed on a drip at 4pm and gave birth to a baby girl weighing 7lbs, who hasn’t been named yet, at 10pm at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

The couple were seen arriving at the hospital after picking up some snacks, with Sue exclaiming: ‘God it’s heaving in the carpark!’.

Posting a glimpse inside the room, Sue showed off the outfit she had ready for the little one, as Noel sat in the corner watching Jumanji and eating snacks.

The video then saw Sue explaining her waters had been broken, but by 9pm the baby still hadn’t arrived, with the couple joking that she had ‘got nervous’.

But just an hour later the little girl had arrived, with Noel showing a glimpse of her on camera.

‘That was a long slog’, Sue said, adding: ‘They hooked my drip up at about 4pm and it took about an hour for things to get going, and then she was born at 10:01pm.

‘She’s just chilling’, Sue said, as Noel added: ‘Been quiet as a mouse hasn’t she? She’s got plenty of hair’.

Later in the video, Sue revealed: ‘Noel left around 1am and it’s now 5am, she has slept for the past four hours.

‘I didn’t go the ward last night, I stayed on delivery just because they said with everything that’s going on they don’t really like moving people around.

‘We had to stay overnight as I had to be on the drip for four hours after she was born’.

Revealing that the little girl was feeding well and the doctor had checked her over, she said: ‘We’re just going to go home this morning and lock ourselves away.

‘She’s the most chiled baby ever. I thinks she’s going to have Phoebe’s colouring’.

The couple are then seen arriving back home, with the excited children meeting the little one.

The couple are yet to pick a name for their latest addition who has become their 11th daughter.

It is a legal requirement for parents to register a birth and should be done 42 days after a baby is born.

This is usually done at a registry office in the district where the child is born and made in person either by one or both parents.

But authorities have currently postponed all registrations for the foreseeable future as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Sue has now spent more than 800 weeks of her life pregnant after having her first child at aged 14.

Noel had a vasectomy after baby number nine but had it reversed shortly afterwards.

The most recent child is Bonnie Raye, who was born in November 2018, with the others being Chris, 30, Sophie, 25, Chloe, 23, Jack, 22, Daniel, 20, Luke, 18, Millie, 17, Katie, 16, James, 15, Ellie, 14, Aimee, 13, Josh, 12, Max, 11, Tillie, nine, Oscar, seven, Casper, six, Hallie, four, Phoebe, three, and Archie 22 months.

The couple met for the first time when Sue was seven, before going on to have their first child when Sue was 14 and Noel was 19.

They got married in 1993 when Sue turned 18, and went on to have nine children before Noel had a vasectomy – which he later had reversed.

Sadly Alfie, the couple’s 17th child, was still born on July 6th 2014.
