Celebrity lookalikes reveal what it’s like to be mistaken for their famous doppelgangers – but can YOU guess who is the real star?

A celebrity lookalike account has revealed a glimpse at what it’s really like to be a star’s double – even from those who would rather not be.

Same de la Same Instagram, created by Israel-based Freddy Slivinski, shares snaps of men and women who closely resemble popstars, royals and actors across the social network. 

Pictures include one of airline attendant Christine Primrose Mathis who says she is constantly mistaken for Meghan Markle, and a Belgian influencer Lara Valentini – who admits her resemblance to Selena Gomez makes her feel awkward. 

Elsewhere a Benedict Cumberbatch lookalike is regularly stopped for selfies, and a Robbie Williams double has met the man himself – and chatted about football.

Lara Valentini (pictured) is often mistaken for American popstar Selena Gomez due to her dark hair, and their similar facial features. She says: ‘I don’t do anything to look like her, it always makes me feel kind of awkward whenever people tell me that I look like her. When I was younger I got told I looked like her a lot but now barely, so I’m actually happy with that’

A lookalike whose cheekbones and hair are remarkably similar and is known only as ‘Maria Carey lookalike’ revealed: ‘When I make an appearance at an event as a Mariah Carey impersonator it’s such a fabulous experience. Everyone is always happy to see someone in the likeness of the queen. People are always so supportive and kind’
