When it comes to hair and beauty, video platform TikTok has been responsible for some of the biggest trends of 2020.
From changing the way we apply concealer to teaching users how to fake a fuller pout with nothing but a lip liner, the social media app has influenced people everywhere. Just ask Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, who recently ditched her brunette locks for a TikTok-inspired hair craze.
Posting to her Instagram stories, the star looked unrecognisable as she unveiled her new look – showing all-over dark dye, accompanied by some extremely bleached front sections.

The trend, which is known on TikTok as “Rogue Blonde”, is an ode to the 90s chunky highlight trend – a process where the front sections around the face are bleached to create a contrasting look with the rest of the hair.
Aside from Scarlett, many celebrities have been seen sporting this TikTok craze, including Kylie Jenner and Dua Lipa which has inspired many people to follow suit.
In the year that saw hair salons shut shop, “Rogue Blonde” became a quick-fix hairstyle to achieve at home because of its simplicity.
Though this look can be obtained in many different shades, Scarlett has opted for a deep brown all over with a honey-blonde front section.
The star showcased her new hairstyle when she took to Instagram to talk to fans about her upcoming 30th birthday.

“So I can’t believe that on Saturday I turn 30,” Scarlett said. “I’m a little bit nervous but mostly excited for this new chapter.”
Talking to her fans, the star added: “I was hoping some of you lovelies who are already 30 could put a comment of what I’ve got to look forward to, any life advice.”
In the short clip shared with her two million followers, the star looked stunning as she approached her new milestone, wearing a beautifully bronzed eye look and a red lip.
The presenter tagged the products used in her post, revealing her lip colour was Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss in the shade Sex Kitten, £19 here.
