Prince William and Kate Middleton have not watched Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” a royal source tells Page Six.
“William and Kate’s aides have briefed them on the show, but don’t expect the couple to sit down in their cottage with a bowl of popcorn to tune in themselves,” the source jokes.
Throughout the six-episode series, Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, discuss their fractured relationship with his brother and sister-in-law.
Harry had a falling out with William, 40, early on in his whirlwind romance with Markle, and their rift has only deepened since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from the royal family in January 2020.
Harry claims in “Harry & Meghan” that Buckingham Palace was “happy to lie” to “protect” William, the future king, but was “never willing to tell the truth” about him and Markle.
The former military pilot also accuses the Prince of Wales of breaking “an agreement” to never leak negative stories about each other to the press.
Markle takes several swipes at her in-laws in the Netflix series, too.
The “Suits” alum says Middleton, 40, had a “jarring” reaction when she gave the Princess of Wales a hug in 2016, adding, “I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.”
As for William, Markle is shown looking annoyed after learning that her brother-in-law’s communications secretary gave a last-minute witness statement in her lawsuit against a UK newspaper company.
“It’s your brother,” she tells Harry in one episode. “I’m not going to say anything about your brother, but it’s so obvious [he authorized the statement].”
Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace declined to comment on “Harry & Meghan.”
