Thanks to Little Mix The Search, Perrie Edwards and her bandmates have become the queens of Saturday night TV, wowing us every week with their gorgeous outfits and stunning beauty looks.
But it was the band’s recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show that really got us talking – and not just for the notable absence of Jesy Nelson, who has revealed that she is taking an extended break from the group “for private medical reasons”.

While bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall also looked gorgeous, it was Perrie’s look that really got fans talking, as she paired a hot pink mini dress with matching eyeshadow – and debuted a dramatic new shorter hair look.
The 27-year-old ditched her trademark long blonde extensions in favour of a slick bob, which flicked up at the ends in a quirky, retro style.

Posting a snap of her full look on Instagram, Perrie also included the possible inspiration behind it – Sandy from Grease, Lottie from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, a 1950s poster-perfect housewife, and Jane from the cartoon series, The Jetsons.
But fans had other ideas about who the popstar resembled. While a number of people commented on how she looked like Katy Perry, far more drew comparisons to a certain famous plastic doll.
“Real life Barbie,” wrote a few of her 11 million followers.
“Omg I didn’t know Barbie were releasing a new doll this year,” another quipped.
Perrie’s celeb pals were quick to compliment her too.
“Soooo beautiful,” said Pixie Lott, while Vicky Pattison kept it short and sweet with a simple “unreal”.
Celebrity hair stylist Chris Southern was the man responsible for all the Little Mix girls’ stunning looks on the night, and he revealed that he used the ghd platinum+ styler, £151 here, to create Perrie’s sleek, structural style.
“The Jetsons dreamboat,” he captioned his Instagram post.
This isn’t the first time Perrie has surprised fans with a short hair transformation. Back in April, soon into the UK’s first lockdown, she shocked fans by revealing her hair styled into a short choppy bob, while she recently looked unrecognisable sporting a fringe in the video for Little Mix’s single Sweet Melody.
We’re obsessed with this new hair length on Perrie, so let’s hope it’s here to stay.
