Nicki Minaj is ready to make a comeback — and stripped down in an effort to push new music coming Friday night.
The Queens rapper, 38, took to social media to share spicy snaps of herself topless, wearing nothing but a pink “ICON” hat, her signature “Barbie” chain and undies while being sure to cover her exposed chest for the pics.
“New 🎶 @ MIDNIGHT ⚔️ Going LIVE from my BEAUTY ROOM @ 11PM EST. DON’T MISS IT,” she alerted fans Thursday through her caption.
She first put fans on notice for new music Monday, when she simply posted “Friday” as the caption to a pic of herself sitting on a pink desk nude, using decorative pillows to cover herself.
The only item she wore in the snapshot — a pair of hot pink Crocs plastered with bedazzled Jibbitz, including Chanel’s iconic double-C logo — reportedly caused a 4,900% spike in sales of pink Crocs specifically, and even crashed the retailer’s website.
Wednesday, the “Pink Friday” artist shared photos of herself alongside lyrics to the unreleased track that read, “Btchs act like they want action, heard they want action, btch we aint duckin no action. I’m bout to giv’em dat traction, send a distraction— then ima line’em like FRACTIONS ✍🏾 F R I D A Y 🤞🏽.”
She also shared video of herself driving, with husband Kenneth Petty in the passenger’s seat as she flaunted a pink Richard Mille watch, of which she claims there are “only 8 in the world.”
It’s been over a year since Minaj dropped her most recent single, February 2020’s “Yikes.” She’s since, however, been featured on several songs from other artists, including Doja Cat’s “Say So (Remix)” and “Nice to Meet Ya” by Meghan Trainor.
Perhaps Minaj’s personal life has taken precedence over her career, as the mom recently lost her own father to a hit-and-run accident.
Long Island driver Charles Polevich, 70, allegedly struck Robert Maraj, 64, with his car as the MC’s father was walking across the street. Minaj’s now-widowed mother, Carol Maraj, sued Polevich and is asking for $150 million.
