A new mum had to deal with intense questioning after failing a drug test because she ate a very common breakfast item before giving birth.
Caitlyn Marie Ricci, from US, now issues a warning to other expectant mums if they don't wish to be tested positive of opioids.
She told Daily Star that the follow-up "investigation" left her feeling extremely frustrated, adding: "I’m trying to bond with my new born but every time I get a call from the case worker, it has my mind and hormones go crazy."

Posting just eight days after she gave birth to her son, she wanted to share her ordeal to the viewers.
"I get to the hospital to get induced at 39 weeks and they drug-test you in New Jersey at hospitals, which is not a big deal," she explained.
"I wasn't worried about it. So they come back and tell me that my drug test shows positive for opioids.
"I was like 'no, definitely not, did you mix my sample up?'
"I am very confused so my husband and I realised that we had Everything Bagels (which has a mix of toppings from seeds to flakes) that morning and even the nurse was like 'I don't know if you had a good amount of poppy seeds or anything…'
"And oh my god, we literally just ate Everything Bagel this morning. They are totally fine, saying they've seen this."
The doctors did a test on the baby and the results showed negative, but the story didn't end there.
She continued: "Apparently now it needs to be reported to the state, like Child Protective Services and it's now literally a 'child neglect case'.
"I had to have Child Protection Services come and interview me after having an emergency C-section and 40 hours of labour.
"They interview me at the hospital and check my home before I could even leave the hospital with the baby and come back again after I give birth and go take another drug test four days after having a C-section.
"So long story short, avoid poppy seeds in your tri-mester, especially if your hospital does drug test.
"Because this is something that can potentially happen, this need to be told because I would have skipped the bagel."
A month after giving birth, Caitlyn was asked for a third home visit.
She told this site: "I also have yet to be informed of the outcome of any drug tests I’ve taken and haven’t received any paperwork other than the caseworkers business card.
"He claims he told us he had to come check in again a month after he was born, but neither of us recall being told that.
"In my mind, it’s a waste of resources and my time for them to continue visiting and questioning myself and my husband."
