Most of us don't pay much attention to what we wear while taking out the bins – it's a chore, not a fashion show.

But one woman was shocked to receive a furious note from her neighbour, complaining about her not covering up when she completes the task.

Emily, who posts on TikTok as @emilyk8zz, revealed the message she'd received from the people next door, which read: "Hi, my husband can see you on our Ring camera.

"Please put pants on when you take out your trash."

The message was signed from "your neighbour".

But while some people would have been embarrassed that their neighbour had seen them outside with no trousers on, Emily wasn't bothered in the slightest.

She captioned the video, which gained more than 15,200 likes, with: "Nah I’m good luv enjoy."

TikTok users were divided on the note as they flocked to the comments to give their opinion on how she should handle the situation.

One user suggested: "Write back. 'Thanks but I'm good. Talk to your husband, not me'."

Another added: "The husband doesn't mind but he got in trouble with the wife."

A third commented: "Go flash the camera."

However, a fourth believed the neighbour was right and asked: "Why would anyone take out the trash without clothes on?"

The news comes after a man was left upset when he found a brutal note on his car windscreen from an anonymous writer who blasted the resident for keeping his air conditioning on all evening.

They moaned about the noise – before instructing the bloke to lose weight.

The recipient, from Ontario in Canada, posted the passive-aggressive letter on Reddit, which said: "Buddy, I'm not sure if you're aware but your air conditioning is not working properly.

"IT'S LOUD AS F***. It was 8 degrees last night and the thing is still running non-stop. Please do us all a favour and try opening a couple of windows once in a while.

"Fix your damn air conditioning or lose some f***ing weight so you're not so hot all the time! Can't even hear my goddamn TV it's so loud."
