A mum has baffled fellow parents by buying her children, aged seven and nine, a £141,000 Mercedes Benz car – and it’s not the first time.

Aussie businesswoman Roxy Jacenko, 40, flashed the cash when buying the luxury vehicle for her kids Pixie and Hunter.

But, not everyone agreed with her choice considering neither child is old enough to drive.

In the UK and most Australian states 17 is the lower age limit for learning to drive.

On her Instagram page, Roxy said: "A special gift for two special little people delivered today @pixiecurtis@huntercurtis14."

"Seven seats to accommodate the Curtis zoo."

It turned out that Pixie, nine, had asked her mum for the flashy wheels, reports the Sun.

She wrote: "This was such a surprise!!

"Mum told us to come to the front of the house – we thought there was a trampoline delivery – it was a new car!!!!!!!

"We told her we needed seven seats we didn’t think she would actually organise it!!"

But, Roxy’s almost 90,000 followers were not impressed with her latest buy.

One person noted: "If this isn’t insensitive and tone-deaf, I don’t know what is."

Another added: "Because a nine-year-old needs a luxury car."

A third commented: "This is disgusting on every level she got herself a new car I'm sure everyone struggling is so happy for a child who can't even drive what a joke."

And, the PR guru mum has pulled a similar stunt before as she purchased a £43,000 car for the kids in December.

Speaking to News.com.au, she said: “It's of utmost importance to me that both she and her brother Hunter travel safely on the roads when going to and from school so I purchased a car for her.

“Obviously she doesn’t drive it, she is driven in it as is her brother to and from school and for any activities.

“Given the number of fatalities on our roads their safety is so important so if it means buying a car that has extra safety features that’s what I’ll do.”

But, her followers were shocked by the idea of a car for her child.

One commented: “Seriously? A car for someone who can’t drive for how many years.”

Another added: “Please tell me this is a stitch up! It has to be!”

A third wrote: “How can a child have a car?”

But not everyone was so riled up – and some even loved the idea.

One person said: “Sorry but I absolutely ADORE the fact that Pixie has a car.”

Data showed that the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC250 costs between £36,000 and £46,000.

Mum, Roxy, lives in a £3.6million mansion and runs Sweaty Betty PR.

Little Pixie, at nine years old, has an accessories range called Pixie’s Bows.
