Hot pink hair might not immediately be your first hairstyle choice for summer – but pop star Lizzo has just shown us how to pull it off perfectly, after appearing on Instagram sporting the vibrant shade.

Swapping her usual jet black locks for a punchy pink hue, the Juice singer first unveiled her new look in a video clip shared with her 12.6 million followers, shortly followed by a series of selfies.

Collectively raking in over 430K likes to date, both posts have been loved by Lizzo’s fans, with many rushing to the comment section to share their appreciation for the star’s new hairstyle.

“If this ain’t ya perfect colour idk what is,” one person writes, posting heart-eye emojis.

“Yessss, this pink is everything,” another says, while a third adds: “I am loving that hair!”

“Your hair looks AMAZING,” another comments.

In the snaps, Lizzo wears her new pink ‘do in tight, bouncy curls with a middle parting, pairing the look with matching pink lipstick and a soft smokey eye makeup look, which is giving major 90s vibes.

This isn’t the first time Lizzo has experimented with her look. Earlier this month, the singer wowed fans when she appeared on Instagram sporting a heavy full fringe with the rest of her hair in a Pamela Anderson-style messy updo.

Her followers were equally as impressed with this style, with one person commenting on the post: “Um okay but u with bangs is a whole other level of perfection???”

“Those bangs tho,” another says, while a third adds: “The bangs are cute on u.”

Lizzo is one of the latest stars to try out this 90s Pammy-esque hairstyle, with everyone fromJesy NelsontoGeorgia Toffoloexperimenting with the look in recent weeks. One famous face who’s been wearing the hairstyle a lot recently, though, is reality queenKim Kardashian.

From talk-show appearances to red carpet events, the KUWTK star has been championing the throwback updo with the help of her go-to hair stylistChris Appleton.

Luckily for us, Chris took to Instagram recently to share the secret to Kim’s fave hairstyle, with tips on how to create it at home. It’s surprisingly easy to follow and only requires three products: a curling iron, a claw clip and texturising spray.

Although Kim has only just dyed her hair bleach-blonde – which sounds like it was a very long, intensive process – we’d love to see her try out Lizzo’s hot pink shade next! Which do you prefer?
