As Kate Middleton’s 40th birthday approaches, we’re excitedly awaiting the special celebrations planned for the Duchess, her friends and family.

And with youngest son Prince Louis heading for his 4th birthday, royal fans are wondering whether baby number four could be on the horizon for Kate and Prince William.

The Duchess of Cambridge has spoken candidly in the past about her journey into parenthood from ‘mum-guilt’ to ‘life-changing moments’.

But Kate’s got nothing to feel guilty about. According to one of Kate’s close friends, she’s ‘real and charming’ around little ones.

The pal told the Sun: “There are few sights more real and charming than when she gets down on her knees to have a giggle with the kids.”

Ever since she stepped out of St Mary’s Hospital with bonny baby Prince George in 2013, Kate has been the picture perfect mother.

The Duchess has proved herself to be a cool, calm and collected mother in the face of the worst tantrums.

In July 2017, photographers captured then two-year-old toddler Princess Charlotte having a meltdown on a runway in Germany.

When she started to stamp her feet, patient Kate came down to her level, picked her up and talked to her comfortingly.

Needless to say, her impeccable parenting skills went viral.

And let’s not forget the time Prince George got a telling off at Pippa Middleton’s wedding!

Our future King, then three, was sulking after the ceremony and promptly burst into tears.

Kate showed her strict side as onlookers caught a glimpse of her giving him the ‘that’s enough now’ finger point alongside a stern telling off.

George certainly learnt his lesson and has blossomed into a cheeky and charming young Prince.

Kate is mischievous too, and her cheeky side has been passed down to George, Charlotte and Louis.

In 2013 the Duchess was spotted sticking her tongue out at young fans greeting her in Singapore.

And during a royal tour of Canada in 2016, Kate and William sat on the grass to make balloon animals with George and Charlotte – how sweet!
