The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs exclusively revealed with OK! that she’s expecting twins with her boyfriend Billy Delbosq – something which came as a shock to the pair.

While Amy, 32, had come off contraception earlier this year, the reality TV star didn’t expect to conceive so quickly as she discovered she was pregnant just two months later. Making the surprise even bigger, she later found out she’s carrying twins.

Now, in her exclusive column for OK!, Amy is charting her pregnancy, and how she feels like she’s “going back to square one” despite having had two babies before.

This week, Amy talks about hiring a sleep expert to help her with the twins’ routine when they’re born, as well as how Polly’s coping ahead of her new little brother and sister’s arrival.

I’m having my TOWIE baby shower next week

I’ve obviously been busy filming TOWIE and I have my baby shower coming up next week, which will be exciting.

The whole shower is a surprise. All I’ve heard is that it’s very extravagant – I don’t even know the location, that’s how secretive they’re being. I don’t even know if Bill knows.

I’m going to go all out for it – hair and make-up, the works. It could be my last baby shower. It’ll be lovely because all my friends will be there, and I’ll be filming it all as well. All of Billy’s friends are coming down too.

It’s going to be a big bash and everyone’s going to have a good time.

I’ve hired a sleep expert to help me when the twins are here

I was on the phone to my sleep expert yesterday for about 45 minutes. We were talking about routine when the babies come, and I’ve got loads of tips that she’s given me.

When the twins are born she’ll probably come round every other day just to get them into a routine.

There’s a lot of sleep experts on Instagram and things, but Hazel Hayward is a friend of mine and she’s a twin mum. We met each other at a baby group together and discovered we have lots of mutual friends.

I’ve had lots of people online offering their services, but because Hazel has twins and she’s in an amazing routine, I decided to go with her. She’s just released an amazing book all while training to be a midwife.

Frankie’s owning being a twin mum – it’s brought us closer

It was really nice to see Frankie. I went to see the house and it looked lovely – the kitchen is beautiful.

She’s really owning life and the twins are really content and settled. She seems to be in a really good routine with them, so I’m literally going round there for tips. We had a nice cup of tea and it’s lovely to see her, but it’s nice to get her tips as well.

Seeing all of the babies’ bottles out and everything, I thought ‘This is going to be my life in 6 weeks time’, even though I have 2 children already. But look, I’m going to make it work.

Frankie and I were laughing about how 10 ten years ago we were in Marbella living the dream and how different things are now. We used to always go on holiday together. We’ve been to some amazing places, but things change and as you get older, you get wiser and you have kids.

The kids have definitely brought us closer. Frankie’s an amazing mum.

I’m not quite ready for the twins to come yet…

Next week I’m 29 weeks along and in 6 weeks time, the twins could actually be here. I’m just not ready – I feel like I’m organised and then I think, no… I’m really not. Even with one baby I’d feel this way, you’re always thinking ‘Have I got this? Have I got that?’.

You’re never ready, but having two has completely thrown me. Bill just seems to laugh and take it all in his stride though, which is a lovely way to be.

We’re getting there though. We spent 6 hours at a shopping centre recently getting some baby things, and now we’ve got Hazel on board too.

Polly’s been very emotional lately

I feel like Polly’s a little bit emotional at the minute. I don’t know if it’s because I’m pregnant.

She’s very social – she’s my social butterfly. She goes into school, knows loads of the teachers and has lots of friends, but lately she’s not been herself. I don’t know… maybe she’s worried she’ll feel left out when the babies are here.

I don’t know if the twins have thrown her a little bit, but we’re trying to include her in everything. When we got back from shopping the other day, I was showing her everything that we got and she was putting all the boy’s and girl’s clothes in piles.

It’s a bit of a shock to her. I’ve only ever had her and Rich, and I think she’s thinking about the fact that she’s going to be a big sister again.

I’m sure when the twins come, she’ll be fine.
