Prince William and Kate Middleton walked into the history books after their incredible royal wedding in 2011.

There were several memorable moments from the big day on 29 April 2011, from a grumpy bridesmaid, questionable headgear, Pippa Middleton's behind and the celebrity guests.

However perhaps the most memorable was just how beautiful Kate Middleton looked in her stunning Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress.

Prince William had his younger brother Prince Harry as his best man. William wore his Irish Guards Mounted Officer's uniform and Harry donned his Blues and Royals officer's uniform, and it was an iconic moment as they waved and walked into the venue.

Meanwhile, a radiant Kate arrived at Westminster Abbey with her father Michael Middleton and the world for their first glimpse at Kate’s sensational dress.

Hundreds of thousands of royal well-wishers lined the Mall ahead of the wedding to show their support for William and Kate, with public surrounding the Victoria Memorial during the fly over by the RAF.

The newlyweds travelled in a 1902 State Landau carriage along the Processional Route to Buckingham Palace following the ceremony, waving at crowds as they went.

And the spellbinding day was like something straight out of a fairytale – but how much did it cost?

Well, the flower budget was estimated at £800,000 by one wedding expert which already makes it a very expensive wedding indeed.

Then there were the two cakes at roughly £57,000 and Kate’s dress at £240,114 and of course being royals security was a must, and that was thought to be millions of pounds.

Overall, the wedding is believed to have cost, roughly, £24,624,500.

William drove his wife away from Buckingham Palace following their appearance on the balcony in a vintage Aston Martin car that had 'L' plates, balloons and 'Just Wed' attached to it.

Fiona Cairns and her team created the jaw-dropping wedding cake for the newlyweds, which almost looked too good to touch!

The royal wedding party then got together as they watched the RAF flyover in honour of the big day, with all of the family in tow.

Following the incredible televised portion of the wedding where we saw Kate and William exchange their vows and later kiss on the balcony, 600 lucky guests went on to celebrate at an evening ceremony of which was kept private.

Kate changed into a gorgeous second Alexander McQueen dress for the reception hosted by Prince Charles.
