This incredible picture is said to show what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son will look like as he grows up.

Joe Mullins, a forensic imaging specialist, sketches the age progression of children with great accuracy.

He has helped police forces solve investigations and trace missing children.

Now the Washington-based designer has released a fascinating picture of what he believes the royal couple's son will look like.

He studied recent photos of both Harry , 34, and Meghan, 37, to predict the facial features of their offspring.

Meghan's newborn is yet to be pictured.

And in a break from royal tradition, the couple will not pose for photos outside hospital – because Meghan gave birth at their home at Frogmore Cottage .

Harry, though, has spoken of his "absolutely incredible" delight at welcoming his first child, whom was born in the early hours at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor .

Beaming with joy, the duke said: "I'm very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy this morning, a very healthy baby boy.

"I haven't been at many births.

"This is definitely my first birth – it was amazing, absolutely incredible.

"I'm so incredibly proud of my wife.

"And as every father and parent would say, your baby is absolutely amazing."

The Buckingham Palace statement in full says: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 0526hrs.

"The baby weighs 7lbs 3oz.

"The Duke of Sussex was present for the birth.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.

"The Duchess's mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.

"Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

Mr Mullins has in the past sketched the future looks of artists like Madonna and Britney Spears.

"When I did Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise I did the child as a boy, but the image actually does look a lot like Suri," Mr Mullins said.

"With my day job, I have acquired a skill which means it is always in the ball park."
