A cafe shop job isn't usually one of the most well-paid professions out there.

However, one cafe is offering a cool £50,000 a year for the pleasure of working there though.

There's just one catch for Brits though – the cafe is all the way over in Australia.

The Good Cartel, located in Broome, Western Australia, recently posted a job advert offering would-be baristas a $92,030 annual salary.

The advert stated that the cafe has ‘a reputation for retaining excellent staff who receive excellent pay’.

What's even better is that the position isn't just for one person.

The ad offered six vacant positions for baristas and kitchen staff that included a hefty pay package along with superannuation.

Baristas would have to work 47 hours over five days, including the weekend.

However, if employees didn’t want to work on the weekend, they could still earn an $83,001 (£46,000) per year.

Kitchen staff get even more, with a yearly salary of $112,464 (£62,000).

However, they'd have to work 55 hour weeks, including weekends.

Talking about the reason behind the generous pay packet, owner of the cafe, Jack Kain, said it's been challenging to attract hospitality staff post-lockdown.

“It’s a better than usual strategy now with the labour shortage, which has now fallen well and truly off the cliff,” he told Perth Now.

“When you combine this with the rental shortage and all of the various Covid restrictions incoming it’s going to be challenging.”

The drive-thru takeaway venue was meant to open earlier this week, but delayed its opening due to shortages.

In other jobs news, a woman revealed last week that she quit her job as a flight dispatcher to become a delivery driver instead after discovering she could make £1,000 a week.
