The only downside to Aldi’s Lacura beauty range is that the products always seem to sell out before we can get our hands on them. However, if you act fast, you can snap up one of Aldi’s most popular bargain make-up buys.

Lacura Girl Gone Bad Mascara, just £5.99 here, is back in stock online, and it also has some new rave reviews from shoppers who are calling it a good “dupe” for Benefit’s popular They’re Real! Mascara, £23.50 here. Both of the mascaras lengthen, curl and tint lashes, but Aldi’s offering is promising to do it for £17.50 less than Benefit.

Of course, if you’re a die-hard Benefit fan, you might not want to swap from your trusty formula (after all, it’s one of the UK’s best-selling mascaras for a reason!), but Aldi’s Girl Gone Bad is perfect for someone looking to get long-lasting lifted lashes on a budget.

Don’t just take our word for it – as we say, shoppers are also flocking to the review section of Aldi’s product page to share their thoughts on the formula.

“Absolutely amazing! Can’t believe how brilliant this mascara is. Unbelievable results and I’m definitely going to buy it again,” writes one enthusiastic reviewer.

A second shopper says: “I brought this mascara after much research… I have only been using it for a week now and it is one of the best I have ever brought..it hard wearing and last all day,” while a third writes: “It really makes my eyelashes longer, a lot of people thought I had false eyelashes on it great mascara I totally recommend.”

Other shoppers also rave about how long the mascara lasts on lashes without smudging or flaking during the day – two problems many mascara wearers face.

If you want to get your hands on this mascara – or if you want to stockpile it in case it goes out of stock – we’d recommend making haste and the product has found its way onto TikTok.

This bargain mascara comes after Aldi caused a stir with shoppers back in January when the retailer announced the launch of £2 mini “dupes” of designer perfumes like YSL Black Opium and Mugler Angel. Lacura launched travel-size 15ml bottles of three of its best-selling scents – Dark Blossom, Guardian and Lady Pour Femme eau de parfums – and they cost just £1.99 in supermarkets.

At that price they’re a great way to find your new signature scent, or to stock up for travels.
