Arsene Wenger, 70, was the manager of Arsenal from 1996 to 2018, where he was the longest serving and most successful in the club’s history. Born in 1949 and raised in France, his father introduced him to football at a very young age and he began playing for his father’s team at the age of 12. How much is is Arsene now worth?

Thanks to his managing abilities and a keen eye for young sports players, Arsene has built himself a wealthy fortune.

According to CelebrityNetWorth, Arsene is worth an eye-watering £36.8million.

The site also shares that his salary is a whopping £7.6million.

This then also works out to be around £666,666 per month, £153,000 a week or £21,000 a day.

He first got into football by joining his father’s football team at the age of 12 and made the first team by the age of 16.

Before becoming a successful football manager, Wenger studied politics and economics and went on to earn his manager’s diploma 10 years later.

Over the years as a manager, he was nicknamed “Le Professeur” by his fans as he is known for his studious demeanour.

He led Arsenal through three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.

After joining in 1996, he was said to be earning £500,000 per season which soon increased in 2002 after he was offered a contract worth £2million a year.

He earned a reputation for being able to spot young talent and continues to focus on upcoming football stars rather than buying expensive, experienced players.

However he left the club in 2018 after a period of uncertainty.

On his departure, Arsene said: “After careful consideration and following discussions with the club, I feel it is the right time for me to step down at the end of the season.

“I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years.”

Aside from his football career, Wenger also set up a sports company called LA Promotions where he was said to make £3.5million.

His company closed in 2014 but he has been working with beIN Sports since 2016 which has no doubt added to his fortune.

The sports company is a global network of sports channels who stream live sports shows.

He is also a world brand ambassador for FIFA World Cup Castrol.

In his personal life, the businessman was married to former basketball player Annie Brosterhous before the couple split in 2015.

The couple have one daughter together, Lea who is 23 years old.

Arsene now lives in Totteridge, an exclusive area of London where he has a huge mansion.

His house is said to be worth £6.5million.
