Yohji Yamamoto and Dr. Martens continue their fruitful partnership with the release of a new avant-garde look, dropping the Temperley Twisted Boot in black leather.

The pair follows on from previously bolder pairs such as the spider web-covered 1460, and this time around takes on an aesthetic more commonly associated with Yamamoto. Of course, it is black, but it also features an asymmetrical design where the boot itself is twisted, which sees the medial side’s soft grain leather upper morph into the lateral side’s, coming one at the top.

The placket eyestay panel is the component that is twisted, making for an interesting lacing design that’s supported by a full-length zipper opening on the medial. Furthermore, the laces will tie on the side to add to the asymmetrical look.

At the rear, Yamamoto adds a full-length heel detail trimmed with yellow stitching which leads the eye to the OG Dr. Martens-branded heel tab. A shark-toothed rubber AirWair sole unit in black rounds out the pair’s design, adding a little bumper around the edge too.

The Yohji Yamamoto x Dr. Martens Temperley Twisted Boot in black retails for $1,190 USD and can be purchased on LN-CC’s website now.
