PRINCE George, who turns six tomorrow, has started his school career at Thomas's Battersea – where he will soon be joined by little sister Princess Charlotte.

But where exactly is the school and how much does it cost to send your kids there? Here's the lowdown…

Where is Thomas's Battersea?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted to send their first born to the posh south London school St Thomas’s of Battersea.

The co-educational school is located in the heart of what is dubbed “nappy valley”, given it is such a sought-after location for families.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge relocated to Kensington Palace from their Norfolk home Anmer Hall, where they lived when Prince George was a baby.

The couple have been continuing with the royal duties as full-time royals.

The school has a theatre, a gymnasium, a ballet room, pottery room, along with two libraries, an Astroturf and a rooftop playground.

How much does it cost to send your kids to Thomas's Battersea?

It doesn’t come cheap to send your youngsters to the elite London prep school.

The exclusive establishment charges the princely sum of £17K-a-year for their students.

Former pupils of the school include model Cara Delevingne and singer Florence Welch.

Will George be joined by his siblings?

Princess Charlotte will join her big brother George when she starts school in September.

Simon O’Malley, Headmaster at Thomas’s Battersea, said: “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea.

"We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September.”

Charlotte currently goes five mornings a week to the Willcocks Nursery School, just a stone's throw from her Kensington Palace home.

She started there last January, while George started at Thomas's in September 2017.

The fees for George are £6,429 a term or £19,287 a year, while for Charlotte they will be £6,305 a term of £18,915 a year – the lower figure being due to a small discount given to a family's second child.

The school was chosen by Prince William and Kate for George because “it was the right fit for him”.

Established by David and Joanna Thomas 40 years ago, Thomas's Battersea has described itself as being 'happy, dynamic and vibrant' and one that prides itself on its 'excellent academic results'.

Thomas's prides itself on a 'rounded education', with as much emphasis on kindness as academic results – although many of its 540 boys and girls, aged four to 13, go on to top public schools such as Eton.

Society magazine Tatler says it is populated by “pushy professional parents”.

But the Good Schools Guide describes it as “competitive” and chosen by parents who want the “best education money can buy”.
