FAKE TANS, hair extensions and dazzling whitened teeth are the look of summer thanks to Love Island, but would it suit older fans of the show?

We gave four over-50 readers a makeover that would give islanders Anna and Anton a run for their money.

It even included contoured abs using make-up for the men.

They give their verdicts to Nikki Watkins and Abby McHale.

Sharon, 57: 'Waxing was too painful to ever do again,'

LOVE Island fan Sharon Williams is happy with her current, demure style.

The married admin assistant, from Crouch End, North London, has two daughters aged 15 and 22. She says:

“My daughters watch Love Island too, and they pay close attention to the make-up.

"But the Islanders wear too much.

“My style is very different to the girls in the villa, I’m more moderate.

David, 61: 'Removing my body hair just isn’t for me,'

PERSONAL trainer David Morris watches Love Island with accountant wife Nickie, sons Adam, 18, and Sam, 20. David, from Barnet, North London, says:

“I am an avid watcher of the show, as are my kids and wife.

“The Islanders’ grooming routine is pretty far from my own.

SINGLE Penny Haskins is not a lover of the Islanders’ fashion.

"But I am excited to do this experiment.”
