The US First Lady used her Instagram account to share a selection of pictures from the event.

She wrote: “Great to welcome the President of the Republic of Turkey and Mrs. Erdogan to the @WhiteHousetoday!

“Enjoyed hosting Mrs. Erdogan and showing her around our historic halls.”

Melania opted for a pop of colour by wearing the Altuzarra Janine Double-Breasted Wool Coat in Blue, which is on sale for £1,879.

The luxury double-breasted coat added a touch of colour to the day.

Melania looked sophisticated in the coat which had eight black buttons down the middle and she kept it buttoned up.

She stayed warm by wearing the woollen coat which had two pockets on each side.

The long jacket cut off just below her knees and Melania showed off her toned legs by leaving them bare.

Melania kept her coat on as she showed Emine Erdogan around inside the White House.

As she walked, a flash of the black skirt she was wearing underneath could be seen.

The former model completed the look with a pair of shiny black patent Christian Louboutin shoes.

She stuck with her signature makeup look opting for a smokey eye and slick of bronzer.

Melania’s huge engagement ring could be seen sparkling on her hand as she posed for pictures.

Donald stood next to her outside the White House and he opted for a black suit with a white shirt and red tie.

The First Lady will often step out wearing stunning pieces from her pricey designer wardrobe.

Yesterday, she chose a casual but stylish look for a flight returning to Washington from New York.

Melania wore an oversized grey and black speckled coat which she wore unbuttoned.

The jacket was worn over a pair of black skinny jeans and long-sleeved black top.
