LIVING in a palace married to a charming prince may sound like a fairytale, but a royal expert said Meghan Markle has found life a struggle.

British journalist Angela Levin told Fox News: “I think it’s very hard for her.

“I think she’s done brilliantly at some things. She’s marvellous when they are out and about.

“She’s very good at talking to people. It’s an awful lot to learn and she’s very energetic and keen. But it might be good for her if she took a little bit more advice.

“Before in her life, she was very used to making her own decisions. I do think it’s very difficult for her.

"This is a very strict, traditional path. It takes a while to get used to it.”

Angela, who has accompanied Harry on numerous engagements, said that in the beginning Meghan didn’t know the difference between being a royal and a show business person.

She said that the line between showbiz and royalty “is very narrow” and that Prince Harry feels his role is one of duty and to help the Queen.

The journalist also said that Harry’s friends have been critical over his new healthy lifestyle with Meghan, and claimed that he has been “changed”.

Angela said: “He’s completely devoted to Meghan who is great into looking after yourself and keeping fit with yoga… He’s dropped a few people who just didn’t connect with her.”

Even Meghan herself has admitted the downsides to being a royal family member.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, hinted she's having a difficult time in the spotlight when she joined A-listers at London's Lion King premiere last month.

Singer Pharrell Williams said to her: "Don't ever take that for granted but what it means in today's climate, I just wanted to tell you it's so significant for so many of us. Seriously.

"We cheer you guys on."

Meghan Markle replied: "Thank you, they don't make it easy."

Her comment comes weeks after taxpayers forked out £2.4million for the revamp of the couple's home Frogmore Cottage – and 14 months after their star-studded £32million wedding.

She appears to be referring to her struggle to adapt to life in the spotlight – having faced criticism in the wake of son Archie's christening and her controversial appearance at Wimbledon.

Harry and Meghan chose to keep Archie's christening a private, family affair and refused to announce who they had chosen as his godparents.

The decision unsurprisingly sparked intense backlash, with a PR expert claiming the couple were acting like "Hollywood A-Listers".

Then just one week later, spectators at Wimbledon were banned from taking photos of the Duchess after being told Meghan was there in a "private capacity" to watch her pal Serena Williams play.

As a result of this, a royal expert has accused the couple of "careering from one disaster to another".

In more Royal Family news, Meghan Markle's chic low bun is a clever trick to "prevent hair from post-pregnancy damage", a hair expert has claimed.

And "headstrong" Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are "ignoring" palace orders, a royal expert has claimed.

Plus Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's Wimbledon visit was a "masterful PR exercise" to stop rift rumours, a royal expert has claimed.
