A FASHION expert has revealed the three styling errors that make petite women look ever shorter and heavier.

With the warm summer months now over and the temperatures dropping, it's time to upgrade our wardrobes and switch to autumn and winter must-haves.


But if you're on the more petite side, keep on reading, as there might be major styling fashion mistakes you're making.

According to one whizz, Chi Li, who posts on YouTube, not only can these add years – and pounds – to your look but also make you appear even shorter.

The expert, 5'2 herself, took it to her social media channel, Petite Dressing, to offer a helping hand to fellow petite fashionistas in a short video.

Capri trousers

The guru started off the list with capri trousers – but whilst these might be a staple for many, it's best to ditch the style.

Although there's no doubt this garment is perfect if you seek comfort, Chi wasn't a big fan of the particular style.

The whizz pointed out that a shapeless dress is not a flattering choice – it adds years to your appearance and a few extra pounds.
