ROYAL fans are convinced that Meghan and Harry welcomed their son a whole fortnight earlier than we thought, after the prince “slipped up” during the interview.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced their newborn son to the public for the first time at a press call at Windsor Castle today.

And during the interview Prince Harry was asked whom the baby most resembles.

The prince replied: “Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks, so we’re sort of monitoring how this changing process happens over this next month really.

“But his looks are changing every single day so who knows."

He added: "Parenting has been amazing it;s only been what two and a half days, three days but we're just so thrilled."

This caused a surge of speculation on Twitter from fans who misunderstood the speech, claiming it sounded as though the baby had been born two weeks ago.

One tweeted:  “Is it just me or did Harry just slip up by saying baby has changed in 2 weeks??”

Another confused fan wrote: “Prince Harry says the baby has changed so much in the last two weeks… or did I hear it wrong?”

Equally baffled a third added: “Harry just said “babies change a lot in two weeks!” Slip of the tongue.”

Despite fan confusion, the couple actually welcomed their new addition on Monday morning, before presenting him to the world in St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, just two days after Meghan gave birth.

The tot was held by his doting dad Prince Harry while a beaming Meghan walked alongside.

The Duchess looked remarkably chic in an bespoke white trench dress by British designer Grace Wales Bonner .

New mum Meghan described the experience as "magic" adding "I have the two best guys in the world, so I'm really happy."

She went on to say the new arrival has the "sweetest temperament" adding "he's the dream" with proud dad Harry adding "I wonder where he gets that from."

Harry added: "We are just so thrilled to have our own bundle of joy."

Body language expert Judi James says that "protective" Meghan has "slight inhibitions" about showing off baby Sussex today.

Meghan and Harry welcomed Baby Sussex weighing in at 7lb 3oz at 5.26am on Monday.

First time mum Meg had hoped to have a home birth at Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle but had to be dashed to hospital.

Meghan remained in the £15,000-a-night Portland private hospital overnight before going in to labour in the early hours of Monday morning before giving birth at the stroke of daybreak.

Harry, 34, made an impromptu press conference on Monday, gushing over the "amazing" experience of being by his wife's side.
