For fall, Ermanno Scervino investigated how to temper his feminine designs with an everyday vibe, one more in sync with the times. He was able to rely on the brand’s craftsmanship, seen in the exquisite execution of hand-embroidered coats and cozy knitwear to be worn over his signature macramé frocks and leather dresses.

The look: Scervino worked with softer silhouettes and bigger volumes – especially in outerwear – blending femininity, tailoring and sporty elements.

Quote of note: “I can’t see why to give up beauty and liking yourself but these are difficult times, so my concept was to make women look good without making them uncomfortable. Beauty can be expressed and showed off with modesty,” said Scervino during a preview.

The takeaway: Seeking comfy options, Scervino pushed himself a bit too far with puffer jackets and drawstring pants that bore his name down the side, which clashed with the lineup’s overall sophistication.
