MANY retailers have spread Black Friday offers over the whole of November.

This is to avoid placing unnecessary stress on delivery services that are already stretched by the country being in lockdown.

But fear not if you don’t happen to get the deal you want today.

Set to be huge this year, Cyber Monday on November 30 is potentially the last big sale before Christmas Day.

And with 2020 being a retail nightmare, every major store has put more effort into online sales than ever before.

Here “Coupon Queen” Maddy Tooke gives her tips on how to make the most of the Cyber Monday sales.

Maddy says: “Cyber Monday has traditionally been a time to get great discounts on technology including, Nintendo Switch consoles, 4K TV’s, iPhones and iPads, kitchen appliances, smart home tech like Amazon Echo and Google Nest.

“This year with all shops being closed in England the deals will extend beyond the usual categories as people try to get everything online.”

Top tips for getting the best deal this Cyber Monday:

Make a list

Channel your inner Santa and make a list and check it twice. Think about what you want to buy and how much you want to spend to avoid getting swept up in the Cyber Monday sale hype and overspending.

Do your research

Find out how much the item usually sells for and how much it has previously been on sale for.

Price checking websites like uk.camelcamelcamel.com, idealo.co.uk, PriceRunner.com and PriceSpy.co.uk are great for finding the cheapest place to buy.

Check the retailer

Make sure it’s a reputable site, see if they will price match a competitor and if Topcashback or Quidco offer cash back for that retailer.

John Lewis and Currys PC World will price match a competitor if a product is being sold for less.

Be quick

Really great deals will sell out fast. Some offers only have a certain amount of stock available at the deal price or only have the offer on for a very limited time.

Beware of scam

Unfortunately, scammers are always looking for ways to cash in. Make sure you purchase from genuine retailors, be wary of promotional emails for companies you haven’t signed up to hear from, sites like trustpilot.com are good for reading others’ experiences.

Purchasing goods with PayPal, or a credit card for orders over £100, gives you extra protection.

Check out the offers

Sign up to retailers email newsletters and downloading company apps, use a specific email address for newsletters to avoid spam.

Community deal sharing page hotukdeals.comis a great way to find the hottest offers. The highlights or hot offers tabs show the best deals voted for by other members.

Sign up for a free 30-day Amazon Prime trial to get access to the exclusive discounts, lightning deals and free delivery.

Lightning deals offer members early access to Amazon’s best offers which usually sell out in minutes. Included in the free trial is Amazon Music and Amazon TV.
