IT IS understandable that many women want to feel extra special in the run-up to their wedding day.

But one bride has been slammed for complaining that her bridesmaid has deliberately chosen a white dress for her own nuptials that's very similar to one she is planning to wear.

The woman took to social media to complain, and her post – featuring images of both their bridal gowns side by side – was later mocked in the That's It, I'm Wedding Shaming group on Facebook.

She wrote: "I don't know if it's just PMS talking but I need sone validation or for someone to tell me to suck it up!

"One of my bridesmaids is getting married three weeks before me and she just picked out her dress yesterday and it's so similar to mine!

"It is the exact same style and I feel very frustrated and annoyed! Is it fair to be annoyed?

It is the exact same style and I feel very frustrated and annoyed!

"We have different body types and all the details are different but they are the exact same style."

Her post was anonymously shared in the Facebook group, with the caption: "I'm shaming the hell out of this bride.

"I feel like she really wanted to say 'is she jealous of me and how nice I look in my dress that she had to go and get a similar one to mine?!' B***h no one cares. Stop being so petty."

Their response to the bride's complaint was 'liked' more than 300 times with more than 700 members giving their thoughts.

Many were on the side of the bridesmaid – and felt the bride was overreacting.

One person wrote: "Is she gonna wear it to your wedding? No? Then stfu."

Another sarcastically commented: "Guyssssssss I'm sooooooo mad. My friend is getting married three weeks before me and she's wearing a white-ish dress."

A third joked: "Note to bride: NOBODY CARES if your friend's wedding dress is similar to yours.

Build a bridge and get over it woman.

"They just want dinner, booze and a piece of cake."

And a fourth added: "Build a bridge and get over it woman."

However, some felt the bride had a right to be annoyed, and gave her their support.

One person wrote: "Oh I'd be annoyed. They look like the same dress."

Another noted: "It's prettier on the left so…"

A third teased: "I would return my dress and ask if I could borrow hers."
