Joy-Anna Duggar has been making headlines recently after she shared the news that she and Austin Forsyth lost their little girl. Her second pregnancy was announced in the spring and as the couple went in for their 20-week gender reveal ultrasound, they learned the baby no longer had a heartbeat.

The couple reportedly buried their little girl Annabell Elise on Austin Forsyth’s family’s property in a very private event. Joy-Anna Duggar revealed that her best friend was by her side and helped her get ready to take photos with her daughter after their sad loss.

Of course, this has drudged up questions about Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth’s marriage. There has been some talk about her not being his first choice of Duggar girls, and that he just “settled” for her because she was the only sister not married aside from Jana Duggar. The truth about that remains untold.

Austin and his family have known Joy-Anna and her family for years. They attend the same church and are of the same beliefs. Austin allegedly was hoping to marry Jinger Duggar but her relationship with Jeremy Vuolo progressed faster than anyone had anticipated. Joy-Anna was there and available, but was she his second choice?

Much of what happens in the courting process has been kept under wraps. There has been some concern that some of the relationships are arranged, though there is no actual proof.

They are working through their loss and recently went on a night out following their tragic loss. As Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth move forward, they will likely continue to share what is happening in their life. Things appear to be going well within their marriage, something important when facing a tragedy as they have.
