Two subjects of Netflix’s wild new “Tiger King” — about a feud between private collectors of exotic cats — say the filmmakers are liars and cheetahs.

Carole Baskin, owner of Big Cat Rescue, wrote on her Web site that she thought the directors were making an exposé about animal abuse, but instead “had the sole goal of being as salacious and sensational as possible to draw viewers … They did not care about truth.” Baskin said she was particularly unhappy about some questions the documentary raised about the disappearance of her husband.

Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach Safari owner Bhagavan Antle, who appears in the doc with his multiple wives, also claims that the show is full of it. “We are very disappointed that our facility was mentioned in the new Netflix series,” says a statement on Antle’s Instagram, despite the fact that he is interviewed several times and gives the film crew full access to his home and facility.

“It is important to understand that this series is not a documentary,” he claimed. “It’s sensationalized entertainment with paid participants.”
