Stacey Solomon took a moment to applaud herself yesterday for smashing mum-life like a “superhuman” after feeling like she’s doing a “rubbish job”. The 33-year-old Loose Women panellist and mother-of-five recently welcomed baby daughter Belle with her husband Joe Swash, 41, and has been celebrating all the small wins.

After what sounded like an incredibly tiring day of childcare, Stacey seized the opportunity to congratulate herself on her own efforts and reminded herself that she was doing great.

Sharing a carousel of sweet family pictures to her Instagram, she wrote: “Proud. Feeling like I smashed it today.

“Don’t mind if I sound big-headed but I felt like a superhuman today.

“For some reason lately, I’ve found it easy to tell myself that I’m failing or doing a rubbish job and I never tell myself how well I’m doing.”

She continued speaking on the difficulty of looking after three children who are under the age of three, and two teenagers.

Stacey continued: “Three 3 and under and two teenagers is wonderful but it’s not easy.

“Joe did a night feed for me last night and then went to work. So we did the school runs and then afterwards I managed to make it for the first time EVER to Rhyme time at the library with Rex, Rose and Belle.”

Stacey continued: “Spent some time with other mums and felt so nice to see Rex and Belle enjoying being out of the house.

“Then we stayed out as long as we could, came home, played play dough shops did tuna pasta dinner and this evening was swimming lessons for Rexy.

“Now we are home and I’m ready to collapse on the sofa and start the cluster feeds.”

The star went on to apologise for the long caption as she explained the importance of reminding yourself of all the positives you are achieving.

Stacey ended: “Sorry for the essay, but basically, just a little reminder that you’re doing amazing, even when you feel like you’re not.

“You’re so incredible don’t forget to tell yourself that sometimes.”

It comes as last week, she was ecstatic to wash her hair for the first time in three weeks.

The Loose Women star shared an update with her followers after revealing she hadn’t managed to wash her tresses since the arrival of her daughter Belle.

Stacey said she thanked her husband Joe Swash for being able to sleep alongside her “greasy” hair, which she claimed could have been used to fry several eggs.

Stacey said: “Finally done it, finally washed this mop, sweet, sweet smell of not grease.

“I feel emotional about it, honestly, I feel like I should make a speech it’s been that long.”

Joking about the situation, Stacey took a hairbrush and pretended it was a microphone as she said: “I want to thank my newborn baby for not crying long enough for me to shampoo and condition.

“I want to thank my husband for sleeping next to me night after night and not asking for a divorce.

“The smell can’t have been easy to sleep with, I want to thank you lot for always sticking by me and never judging me no matter how many eggs you could fry on my head.

“It feels so good, happy clean hair day.”
