Stacey Dooley, 34, has been swamped with messages from fans claiming they have spotted a huge mistake in her and Kevin Clifton’s latest home renovation. The comments came after Stacey unveiled the progress of her new living room floor.
The TV presenter posted a photo of the empty room with unfinished floorboards and insulation in view.
Some of her 994,000 followers were quick to pick holes in the way the new flooring had been fitted.
Agnieszka wrote: “Celotex should be fitted properly with no gaps … and use some foam in between if needed.
“Otherwise, what’s the point of insulation if cold getting through the gaps?”

Mark added: “This is NOT how you lay flooring.”
Scott echoed: “Bad floor fitting etiquette that is.”
Doug commented: “I hope that the floor void is vented otherwise you will be replacing the whole lot shortly!”

And Max joked: “This would make a fun game of ‘the floor is lava’.”
However, many others praised the design and assured Stacey all would be ok when the job is finished.

Stacey and her partner Kevin, 39, moved into the house in 2020 and have documented the renovation with fans.
Former Strictly pro Kevin previously said he is leaving all the interior design decisions to his journalist girlfriend.
While chatting to Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec on their Twist and Shout podcast, Kevin said: “When we moved in, she started to talk about it and I said, ‘Look, I don’t really have an opinion on interior design enough.’
“To her, the house was a project. And I see what she’s done and it’s definitely better, but I’d have happily lived in it the way it was, it doesn’t bother me!”
Kevin also admitted that giving Stacey free rein in the house has meant she has gone slightly over budget.
He continued: “She’s gone about doing the whole house, spending way more on it than I would have wanted to!”
