Lorraine Kelly, 61, will be stepping back from her morning show Lorraine this summer. The presenter took to social media today to share her thanks to her team after announcing the move.
The Scottish presenter said she didn’t thank her team “enough” in an emotional Twitter post.
Lorraine penned: “Don’t say this enough but I’m so fortunate to work with the most talented, enthusiastic, hard working and loyal team of professionals.
“To my editor @vixkennedy and all of the production team and crew. THANK YOU @lorraine.”
This follows the broadcaster saying goodbye to viewers earlier today on her final show.
Speaking about her exit, co-star Ruth Langsford said: “Lorraine, I just wanted to say that I hope you have a wonderful summer.
“I know you’re going off on a break now.”
“I’ll be watching you guys all the way,” Lorraine replied.
“Thank you, that is all today, but I will see you tomorrow morning on Martin and Roman’s Weekend Best!”
Lorraine’s replacements for the summer have already been confirmed.
Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh will be hosting for the next few weeks on the show.
Speaking about the news, she said: “It’s such a privilege to do the show because I’m a massive fan of Lorraine, obviously.
“She’s so supportive and wonderful. So to be sitting in her seat is just such a lovely moment.
“I started doing it before Christmas, I feel so at home there and the team is amazing.”
Christine Lampard will also be hosting the show after she announced her return earlier this month.
Speaking about the news, she shared a message on Instagram about her excitement.
She posted to her 600,000 followers: “It was SO good to be back and have a proper catch up!
“Thank you @lorrainekellysmith @lorraine @helenhandmakeup @mauriceflynn.
“I’ll be back with @ranvirtv to keep you company this summer.
“In between changing nappies,” she added with a laughing emoji.
Christine recently gave birth to her second baby with her husband Frank Lampard.
This will mark her first return to TV since the baby was born five months ago.
Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV.
